Rural Rapid Transit Project

The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) Blue Bus is pleased to announce the development of an exciting new transit service for Northern New Mexico and we need your input. The innovative Rural Rapid Transit (RRT) bus service being planned along the NM 68 corridor will reduce travel times and offer more frequent and reliable trips between Taos, Española and Santa Fe. The RRT system will feature technological innovations, enhanced bus stops and state-of –the art hybrid-electric buses to make it easier to travel for work, school, doctor’s appointments, shopping and more.

The Blue Bus, MyBlue™ ridesharing service and Microtransit options will connect to the new RRT service at central locations in these areas: Taos, Pilar, Dixon, Española, Pueblo of Pojoaque, and Santa Fe. Communities near these hubs along NM-68 will be able to get to the new line using an expansion of the MyBlue on-demand rideshare service and new microtransit services; micromobility options such as scooters and eBikes may be added to mobility hubs in the future.

We are asking for your help! We want to know the best locations in each town for these mobility hubs. Share spots that make it easy and convenient for locals like you to connect to the service.

Let’s build a better transit system, together!
